HistorySimply PC was established in early 1992. The business started as a small-business operating as a sole trader, providing a very comprehensive range of PC and IBM compatible products, systems, consumables, accessories, components, peripherals, software and speciality services such as computer repairs and computer upgrading.
For the years following the establishment of the business, the company matured into a reliable computer resource outlet. Focus shifted from specific areas of the market to a more general business approach. After all, the fundamentals of PC requirements from one business to the next were very similar. The business expanded and moved to a larger premises to accommodate for the rapidly increasing demand for computer repairs and upgrades.
In 2000 Simply PC launched their Internet web site which provided their customers with access to a regularly updated price list of their products, systems and services. A movement towards a clicks and mortar business has seen overheads reduced and the general flow of business increase. A brief overseas venture gained experience and networking with businesses in both Australia and UK, providing additional benefit to clients.
After a decade of involvement with large corporates, we have adapted those relationships to meet the needs of local businesses, empowering them and providing a distinct competitive advantage. We have, over the years seen large businesses come and go. Fly-by-night companies with less than credible reputations have dominated the low to middle strata of the PC Sales and Service market. Many of our service calls have been to clean up jobs from so-called experts without qualifications, with the customer being the loser. Although we have the experience so resolve virtually all PC related issues, we also have the qualifications - walking the talk. Few companies still in existence have been around since the PCXT days and we are proud of our service record and our client referrals speak for themselves.
We supply new PC's with industry standard high warranties. The components are selected from a series of vendors that must demonstrate their commitment to quality, preferably with ISO qualifications and have a proven track record in the business. Our upgrades are tailored to the customer rather than the converse and we supply peripheral and software sourced from the most competitive of Southern Hemisphere providers. Our support covers a wide spectrum of services from simple repairs to Maintenance and Service Level Agreements.
Our desire is simple ... To reinforce this vision, we actively educate in the South Auckland region, delivering ICDL - International Computer Driving License - raising the community understanding of Computers and the Internet.
